OUR CLUB, OUR STUDIO
About Us
Our Mission
Founded in 2019, Muscle Injury Clinic wanted to create a referral source for their patients. MIC Health and Fitness was born to help increase flexibility, improve core stability and to continue injury rehabilitation. We believe that one of the foundations of a happy and free life is pain free movement.
So as an extension of Muscle Injury Clinic, our parent company that provides manual physiotherapy & injury treatments, MIC Health & Fitness was created. It is a Yoga & Pilates club we hope our patients recovering, and the wider community can enjoy and benefit from!
We opened ‘The Dojo’ here in Motherwell to offer our range of Yoga and Pilates classes to a wider demographic than typical Yoga & Pilates studios. So all of our classes are inclusive, friendly and supportive; we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable trying or advancing these fantastic forms of exercise.
We believe that one of the foundations of a happy and free life is pain free movement.
Warm & Welcoming
It has always been our goal to provide the highest quality of classes, with the highest quality experience each and every time you visit The Dojo. Everything from the mats provided to the ambience created by the candles has been considered.
As we own our own facility we are in full control of the environment. So you never need to worry about a cold, borrowed community hall during the winter months.
Our teachers have also been carefully selected, and we’ve ensured they have the same beliefs in experience and community that we do. So rest assured, you will be warmly welcomed and cared for in every class.
We have introduced some of our teachers below…

“Pilates is a full body, low intensity, strengthening workout that is suitable for everyone, regardless of their age or ability. Its benefits include increased muscle strength and tone, safe rehabilitation of joint and spinal injuries, increased lung capacity and circulation, improved concentration, stress management, and relaxation, to name but a few! Every class begins with a warm-up, which is usually done standing (there are walls to hold onto if you’re a bit wobbly!). We then move to the floor where we work on lengthening and strengthening our entire body. We use relatively small movements and incorporate a breathing pattern to promote focus and concentration. Everyone is encouraged to do the movements to the best of their ability, and ALL the movements can be adapted should you find them too challenging. The class finishes with a stretch.”
