Here at MIC Health & Fitness our class styles are designed to suit all kinds of aims and fitness levels, from gentle and relaxing to a little more intense. Whether you are looking to burn calories or simply retreat from your hectic life, yoga can be a positive life choice with countless benefits.

Flow Yoga

This style of yoga is varied, calming and possibly more what most would recognise from standard Yoga classes. Every class is varied, offering new flows and experienced to benefit both your body and mind! Ideal for beginners through to experts, as our classes are designed for both.

Simply put, yoga is a range of exercises, known as poses, which are combined with specific breathing techniques and meditation practises. There is a yoga pose for working every area of the body. You can burn calories and tone muscles effectively from yoga, especially when pushing your body to reach positions that feel somewhat difficult and challenging. However, even when you are not necessarily pushing yourself too hard, you will still be improving your body strength and endurance.

Ashtanga Yoga

If you’re looking for a class and style of yoga to push yourself and be able to measure progression, Ashtanga is for you. This type of yoga practice uses ancient yoga teachings, and combines breathwork, movement and flexibility.

Ashtanga Yoga utilises a consistent sequence each week, which will make you more powerful, increase your strength and allow you to measure improvement. Ideal for the former or current athlete in all of us!

Pilates

Pilates is a series of stretches and exercises that focus on your core strength and aim to strengthen the body in an even way. Many athletes and celebrities alike have credited Pilates to keeping their physique in top condition.

Pilates is a great way to get that entire-body workout that many of you crave. However, it’s also an accessible method for beginners to practice low-impact flexibility, strength and endurance movements.

The exercises that you will practice here at MIC Health & Fitness class are specifically designed to build strength and muscle, and over time, you will feel Pilates help to tone your entire body. Regular Pilates can improve your posture, balance and flexibility.
